In early 2024, The Advocacy Academy has the opportunity to move into a brand new training, youth and community centre in the heart of Brixton, purpose-built to support our young people, their campaigns, and our movement’s growth over the next decade and beyond.

Why do we exist?

The Advocacy Academy is a home for grassroots youth organising, working to build the collective power of young people so they can be at the forefront of shaping a more just, fair, and equal society for all. We create spaces for young people with lived experience of injustice to learn the skills, knowledge and confidence to build power and become advocates of change.

What do we need?

Our existing home has become a valuable and loved resource in the wider Brixton community, and as we’ve grown over the years, it has been the organising ground for a wide range of grassroots groups to meet, learn and strategise. Against a backdrop of youth and community centre closures, there is a need, now more than ever, for us to to build a centre which will continue our important civic and community work.
